SOME AVERAGE FACTS ABOUT ME.
I once did stand-up comedy to get over my stage fright. Did it work? Yes. Did I embarrass myself? Definitely, but I learned that putting yourself out there is where all the growth happens.
I grew up in Abu Dhabi, which gave me a multicultural lens on life and a love for languages. I speak English, Bengali, and Hindi fluently. I can also read and write in Arabic and Spanish, and can hold a decent conversation in both if food is involved.
When I first moved to New York, I worked at a bodega for three years. It was quiet enough for me to learn Spanish from my coworkers, but not so quiet that I didn’t get interviewed on Brooklyn Channel 12 News as a robbery witness. Somehow, I also went viral on TikTok and ended up in a New York Times piece about bodega influencers. I’ve always believed no job is boring if you approach it creatively. Except maybe accounting. (Sorry, accountants.)
Since then, I’ve been busy helping brands tell stories that stick. I was one of only two juniors selected to join the MLB x FIT rebranding initiative, working alongside the senior class as a Project Manager and Art Director. Our team developed a full cross-platform campaign to modernize Major League Baseball for Gen Z audiences, which we presented directly to MLB executives.
Later, I led creative direction for Madhouse in Mulberry, an immersive art and design experience in Little Italy. I managed set design, art direction, and a small team of freelance artists to transform a historic space into an interactive brand world that caught local press attention and went viral through word of mouth.
More recently, I’ve been helping build a multimillion-dollar nightclub from scratch, designing everything from the interiors to the Instagram posts. For the past seven years, I’ve also led creative for NYC Welcome Week, turning it into one of New York’s biggest student nightlife platforms.
Lastly, the photo is from my graduation shoot with my husky, Dinero. He’s convinced he deserves creative partner credits for every project I’ve done since.
